Rain expected from Monday: Met. Department

Rain is expected to return from Monday (24), bringing relief from the prevailing dry weather.

According to the Meteorology Department, increased rainfall is anticipated over the Northern, North-Central, Eastern, Uva and Central Provinces, as well as the Hambantota district, over the following days.

They said thundershowers will occur in the Galle, Matara, Kalutara and Ratnapura districts in the evenings or nights. 

Mainly dry weather will prevail elsewhere over the island. 

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and North-Central Provinces and Kurunegala district during the morning.
