Rain interrupted the start of the Asia Cup 2023 final between Sri Lanka and India at the R. Premadasa Stadium.

A heavy drizzle resulted in ground staff covering up the ground ten minutes from the start of play.

Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first.

The ground staff have been handsomely rewarded for their untiring efforts in ensuring the matches to be played on these grounds. Keep up the good work because this is the first time that ground staff of a country have been honoured and rewarded for their untiring efforts.
