R. Premadasa stadium declared emergency relief centre

The R. Premadasa International Stadium has been officially designated as an emergency relief centre to accommodate up to 3,000 people in the event of a disaster.

According to the Colombo Regional Development Committee, the move comes as a precautionary measure amid rising concerns over potential flooding and adverse weather conditions affecting several parts of the country.
