President stresses need for uninterrupted fertiliser supply for Yala season

Colombo, March 6 (Daily Mirror) - President Anura Kumara Dissanayake emphasised the need for a continuous and uninterrupted supply of fertiliser to agricultural lands during the Yala season, ensuring there are no shortages.

Highlighting the importance of timely fertiliser availability, the President stressed that this is crucial for the smooth commencement of farming activities for the Yala season.

He made this statement during a discussion held today (06) at the Presidential Secretariat with officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation, as well as representatives from related institutions, regarding the fertiliser supply for the Yala season.

The meeting included a detailed discussion on the current fertiliser requirements for paddy cultivation and other agricultural activities. 

The President further underscored the importance of creating a supportive environment for farmers, enabling them to begin their Yala season activities without obstacles or difficulties.
