President Ranil Wickremesinghe and his delegation arrived at Katunayake Airport last night (September 30) after winding up their official visits to Japan and the Philippines, the duty officer in charge of the airport said.

He said the president and the delegation touched down at Katunayake Airport at 11.35 pm flown in by Singapore Airlines. (T.K.G. Kapila)

SL is in a unique moment in history in many ways. Important one of them is 3 presidents (RW, MR, GR) who are experienced leaders are working together now along with a future president (BR and/or NR). Whatever anyone say, they are all the highest experienced leaders who has the guts to run SL. They are the only leaders now who can save SL from occupation by India / China. It is true they made some mistakes in the past though. So what? All the past leaders starting from DSS made severe mistakes. SWRD sow the seeds for communal politics and created hatred ness among different communities. If those leaders guided the people in the right direction, SL would have been 10 times more prosperous than Singapore by now. Said that, we have the right leadership now; but are the people of SL ready to accept the right guidance??? I am sure, majority of the people are not ready.....I am also sure that majority of the people don’t want to follow guidance from Buddhism.
