We hope he got some thing from this tour rather than spending the public money...of poor people in Sri Lanka. ..Sri Lanka needs some honest and loyal leaders who can leads with their hardworking and dedication to come out of this crisis..still people are suffering..still price of food items are high and still economic crisis is not yet resolved

His last days, let him enjoy foreign trips with Public money. People are suffering without proper food, no medicines for the patients and they are dying. What did Ranil or his potuwa henchmen do??

Ranil stop going out of the country and look in to the plights of poor masses. Bring down the COL and reduce your Cabinet Ministers and State Ministers, before something goes wrong - try to find Rajapakshe's looted money and bring it to the Treasury.

Now even SLPP guys in your Parliament criticizes publicly that because of them you are in power and the day they throw you out, no peace for them or no way of establishing.

Stars are favourable for him. That is why he became president although he was rejected by people. We don't know how long Stars will be favourable for him. Nobody thought Gotta who got 6.9 millions votes would have to leave so disgracefully.

In corporate life one does a lot of overseas travel. If folks think it is fun, it is most liklely that they have not had to do much of it. Sometimes you would like to send a 2IC or representative, but to ensure the best outcomes often you are compelled to go and meet in person. Technology can substitute for physical meetings, but at times the events and business is such that you need to attend in person. In any event the impact of a physical meeting cannot be replaced by an online substitute. That is the reality in the corporate world. It would be similar in government too, especially at a time when the international community has to be reassured and won over on many fronts, not merely for loans and financing. Of the available pack RW appears to be the best diplomat and representative to liaise with international and institutional leaders. Many comments here seem to be viewing the travel based on their pre-disposition towards RW. Please suggest better alternatives if one exists.

From the pictures on the WWWeb, he was seen as a complete embarrassment and a good laugh for the on lookers. His airy fairy theories were at best irrelevant and irritating. Hope he feels much better after these tours paid for by people.

Begging wit a tie and a coat. Shame on you. Don't be a clown and a laughing stock to the world. Do you know what people say about you now?

    Ajith Monday, 26 June 2023 02:42 PM

Oh dear .... Is there a dress code now for begging too? Wonder if a satakaya would be better than a coat and tie?

    Punchi Monday, 26 June 2023 03:59 PM

Is RW binging back pledges from whiteman of free food, medicines, vehicles and USD ?

Amra Kanigama Monday, 26 June 2023 04:14 PM

It must add..... after hiding from people visiting only offices for rubbish talks - to show the efficacy for the last 50 years in politics!! Such a waste!

President's tour will be termed a success! What is the success ? More loans may have been arranged which the future Generations have to repay. The already obtained loans that made the country Bankrupt will not under any circumstances be Written Off , nor would there have been gains for the country by the President getting outright Grants.

Tissa Fernando Monday, 26 June 2023 06:30 PM

Machan, when is the next tour?

Sam Silva Monday, 26 June 2023 11:32 PM

Why don't you make one way trip out because you are enjoying the tax payers money. When you were opposition leader how many trip you made. Don't you feel guilty and have no conscious.
