President pays last respects to late MP Mavai Senathirajah

Colombo, January 31 (Daily Mirror) - President Anura Kumara Dissanayake today visited the residence of the late Parliamentarian Mavai Senathirajah and paid him last respects.

Remains of the late parliamentarian lie at present at his residence in Mawattapuram in Jaffna.

The President who expressed his condolence to Mr. Senathirajah’s family recalled his dedicated services to the Tamil community.

Mr. President, You are such a gentleman. Do reshape the JVP to NPP fully. Adaptation to the changing times without losing the principles of good governance is the best way to serve the people well. The change is in the air with your election and it is the changed majoritarian community that brought you out in the open and for the rest of the society to come know about you. The North and the East who has been in the war footing for so long to resist the repressive regimes rewarded you in few months. May you be blessed with best for months and years to come. And it bodes well for the once proud nation.
