Colombo, September 29 (Daily Mirror)- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, who is on an official visit to Japan at the invitation of the Japanese government, held bilateral discussions with Japanese Minister of Finance Kato Katsunobu and Japanese Defence Minister D.M. Nakatani.
The talks with the Finance Minister focused on strengthening trade, investment and economic cooperation between the two countries, with particular emphasis on on-going and upcoming projects supported through Japanese aid /JICA assistance, the Presidential Media Division (PMD) said.
Meanwhile, the President also met with Japanese Defence Minister D.M. Nakatani today where they discussed about the longstanding friendship between Sri Lanka and Japan, regional security and ways to further strengthen existing cooperation on defence and security matters.
