President leaves for Maldives

COLOMBO (PMD) - President Ranil Wickremesinghe left the island a short while ago to attend the inauguration ceremony of Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, president-elect of the Republic of Maldives, the President’s Media Division said.

United States of America has announced that President Joseph R. Biden will be sending a Presidential delegation to attend the oath taking ceremony of President Elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

The Presidential inauguration is scheduled to be held on November 17 at the Republic Square. It was previously announced that arrangements will be made to allow a thousand members of the public to attend the ceremony.

Excellent news inauguration of elected president. Bad news is unelected master debating president gone to congratulate him by plane. He is enjoying as much as he can in short time in mile high club. As per countries constitution anywhere in the world it allows a President to travel anywhere any time to get a benefit to the country in every ways, to have a cordial relationship with yr immediate nighbour who can be very helpful at times of need which we have seen.But people are saddened and sometimes when very often travels are made and it looks like a trip to relax for a mental change of environment. So constitution has to be changed in future which allows a limited no. of travelfor an year.Otherwise we will be always talking if future Govts. do this.But we all know this will not happen at all because President is the 1st citizen of a country and he knows what is good or bad to the country and does not want to know at all!
