President Ranil Wickremesinghe has instructed the Governor, Chief Secretary and District Secretary to mobilize the dengue task force to control the spread of dengue in the Western Province.

The President has given the instructions as the Western Province has seen a surge in dengue cases recently, the President's Media Division (PMD) said.

The President has instructed the Governor, Chief Secretary and District Secretary to mobilize the Dengue Task Force to control the spread of dengue in the Western Province with the support of the relevant institutions and the public.

President is so good in giving instructions but will officials do their jobs ...there is some disparity between instructions and actions in Sri Lankan politics and civil service..that is why we witness this apathetic economic crisis..we all hope all do their jobs professionally on time

Official just carry their file bags to the office in the morning and spend time in drinking tea, talking and having lunch. The file bag contains their meals for the day nothing else. They come back sharp at closing time and do the same again next day. Once in a while they participate in some protests holding slogans written by someone else. This us their life and they never set foot into a dengue field.

As usual the president will avoid pressing issues like corruption by his sponsors the rajapaksas and make sensless statements like these. Eg: " We must stop spreading lies", we must all work together to build the country, 'Sri Lanka will be the most prosperous nationon earth by 2048' etc.

What a farce! Ranil knows nothing except to issue instructions which obviously doesn't require any education, training or experience. So far , there is no single plan of action to boost the economy, development of infrastructure, stem inflation , job creation, recovery of tax from with holders, raising living standards of ordinary people, recovery of looted funds and systematic reduction of foreign debt. Ranil's rule is a waste of time and continuous rise in debt.
