President amends emergency regulations
Through an extraordinary gazette, President Ranil Wickremesinghe has amended several emergency regulations.
The President issued emergency laws on July 18.
The regulations were amended as follows;
(1) in paragraph (1) of regulation 11 thereof, by the substitution for the words and figures “360C and sections 364, 365, 365A, 365B, and sections 427 to 446”, of the words and figures “360C,364,408 and sections 410 to 420 and 427 to 446”; and
(2) in subparagraph (e) of paragraph (1) of regulation 12 thereof, by the substitution for the words and figures “360C, 364, 365, 365A, 365B of the Penal Code (Chapter 19); or”, of the words and figures “360C, 364 of the Penal Code (Chapter 19); or”
