Now you'll created a backlog of mail and have to work harder to clear it. Next time, think before you'll strike. Public is fed up of civil servants holding important services to ransom for their demands.

Looks like it is a play by JVP trade unions to create a favorable public opinion by deception. First threat of a strike, then discussion and finally calling off the strike. This happens from time to time. It is nothing but a preplanned script by Pachawatte office. If not, then it is probably the Minister threatening to take 88 89 type action against the perpetrators. Whatever, no strike is good for the country but if at all JVP was in the opposition, strikes went ahead even for petty issues. JVP led trade union Teachers were on strike for over 10 months if you remember.
