Pope Leo XIV appoints new Bishop for Anuradhapura

Colombo, Dec 17 (Daily Mirror) - Pope Leo XIV  has appointed Fr. Nishantha Sagara Jayamanne as the new Bishop of the Anuradhapura Diocese, the Catholic Church of Sri Lanka announced today.

The Pope has accepted the resignation of Bishop Norbert Anradhi, who was in charge of the diocese for many years.
