Politicians get together despite being in different camps: SJB MP
Colombo, April 7 (Daily Mirror) - Politicians from different parties come together on various occasions despite being in opposing political camps, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Sujith Sanjaya Perera said.
“There is nothing wrong in Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa attending the launch of a book written by former Minister Udaya Gammanpila. Politicians from different parties often come together at functions, regardless of political differences. They also meet at weddings and funerals,” the MP told the media.
“Even MP Harsha de Silva participated in the opening of the new Suwa Sariya office,” he added.
However, when queried by the media, MP S.M. Marikkar said he was not prepared to respond to questions the media wanted answered regarding the Opposition Leader.
