Police urge public to avoid visiting damaged roads and bridges
Police Headquarters has issued a warning urging the public to stay away from damaged roads, bridges, and unsafe areas affected by the recent severe weather, noting that large crowds have been gathering at these locations.
The Road Development Authority (RDA) has already begun rapid restoration work on all affected roads and bridges. However, Police said that public visits to these unstable areas pose serious safety risks.
Police requested the public to refrain from entering damaged sites until repairs are completed and the areas are declared safe.
