Police protection for Sudatta Thilakasiri withdrawn

Colombo, August 25 (Daily Mirror) - Police protection provided to social activist and YouTuber Sudatta Thilakasiri has reportedly been withdrawn.

Thilakasiri was previously granted protection after filing a complaint with the police, claiming threats to his life.

However, the protection was withdrawn following intelligence reports which concluded that there is no credible threat to his safety. (Gayan Sooriyaarachchi)

We are in a free and democratic country and it is his personal opinion and expression of personal opinion is not a crime : whatever he predicted is mere predictions: anyone predict anything: Legal interpretation is not based more conjectures and predictions rather law is based on rational and logical reasoning: judges will have their own way of reading and examining this case they would not do it based on media reports or social media accounts but they find the truth and evidence rather than reading mere fairytale stories or predictions and superficial thinking we are living in a different world : don’t suppress freedom of expression . It is a corner stone of democracy.

It's a pity that this guy holds PR in Australia and has not committed anything to the development of Australia. Australian immigration law states that any aspiring immigrant needs to attend a TOEFL exam as one of the preconditions to obtaining PR. How come he was giving PR and if he had to sit for the TOEFL exam he would have failed hands down. Secondly he spends more of his time in SL than in Australia. Over to you Australian High Commission in Colombo and Australian Immigration Canberra. Australia needs to fully overhaul its Immigration Policy like the US. (Test of English as a Foreign Language. )
