Police open fire at Minuwangoda injuring one

Colombo, April 1 (Daily Mirror) - Police opened fire at a roadblock in Minuwangoda during a narcotics check leaving one person injured and another arrested, police said.

According to police, the shooting occurred during an altercation when officers attempted to inspect individuals for illegal substances. 

The injured person was admitted to the Gampaha Hospital, while another was taken into custody.
