Police launch probe into suspicious death of 27 year-old monk

Colombo, March 13 (Daily Mirror) - The Bokkawala Police have launched an investigation after a 27-year-old Buddhist monk was found dead under suspicious circumstances at a Aranya Senasana in the Udahigulwala area in Kandy.

Police said the monk was found dead in his bed at the Aranya Senasana, where he had been living alone.

At the time of the incident, the chief incumbent of the Senasana had left for the Avissawela area, where the monk had been teaching.

Initial investigations have not revealed any details regarding the cause or manner of death.
