Colombo, October 3 (Daily Mirror) - The police today (03) launched a series of new telephone hotlines, allowing the public to directly report information on narcotics activities across Sri Lanka.
The initiative covers a wide range of illicit substances, including heroin, crystal methamphetamine (ice), cocaine, cannabis, and other drugs. Citizens can now provide details directly to the phones of Senior Deputy Inspectors General (SDIGs) overseeing police ranges, as well as Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) in charge of divisions.
Police officials urged the public to use the hotlines responsibly to support ongoing efforts to combat the spread of drugs in the country.
