Police hunt for fraudster who defrauded Rs. 17.5 million in job scam



Colombo, June 10 (Daily Mirror) - Police are seeking public assistance in apprehending a suspect wanted for defrauding individuals of Rs. 17.5 million with promises of employment abroad, particularly in countries like England and Poland. 

Police said the fraud was operated under the guise of IMH Logistics (Pvt) Ltd, based in Janajaya City Hall, Sri Jayawardenapura, Kotte.

The Mirihana Special Criminal Investigation Division has launched an inquiry into the fraud and has already arrested a female suspect, who was produced before the Chief Magistrate's Court in Colombo. 

During interrogation, it was revealed that an individual named Fernando, claiming to be the company owner, was involved in the scam. However, the suspect's whereabouts and identity remain undisclosed.

Police have released photographs of the suspect and urge the public to provide any information regarding his whereabouts.
