Police curfew in Kalmunai until further notice
Police curfew was imposed in Kalmunai, Chawalakade & Samanthurai police areas until further notice, police said.
They said the police curfew was imposed after a gun battle was reported between STF personnel and an armed group in Saindamarudu area in Kalmunai this evening.
An explosion was also reported when security forces attempted to search a man in Saindamarudu.
