Colombo, Oct 14 (Daily Mirror) - Police Media Spokesperson ASP F.U.K. Wootler said that assets valued at Rs. 3,902 million belonging to organized criminals have been confiscated following investigations carried out between 2021 and 2024.
Speaking at a special press conference today, he said that so far in 2025, assets worth Rs. 730 million have also been seized from organized criminal figures.
The confiscated assets include 354 gold pounds, 72 vehicles, 35 houses, cash amounting to Rs. 670 million, and approximately 37 acres of land linked to major drug traffickers.
