Colombo, July 9 (Daily Mirror) - Investigations have revealed that former State Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan, alias 'Pilleyan' had prior knowledge of the Easter bomb attacks when he was in the Batticaloa prison.
The Minister told Parliament that Pilleyan was in Batticaloa prison over the murder of former MP Joseph Pararajasingham and according to investigations, he was aware of the Easter Sunday bomb attacks.
He said Pilleyan had maintained close connections with the army intelligence officers who were in Batticaloa prison over the same murder.
The Minister said further investigations are being carried out into the incident.
