Pigeon keeper shot at and wounded in Bloemendhal



Colombo, May 18 (Daily Mirror) - A pigeon keeper in Sirisanda Sevana Flats at Bloemendhal was shot at by unidentified motorcyclist and sustained injuries this evening, the police said. 

The 41-year-old victim has been identified as a resident of Sirisanda Sevana Flats and running a small pigeon keeping business in the area. 

Eyewitnesses told the police that two persons on a motorcycle had opened fire at the man with a revolver like weapon and fled the scene. 

The person with injuries to his arm had been rushed to the National Hospital Colombo and his condition was known to be not serious. 

Kotahena Police are conducting investigations.
