Parliament flares up after killing of Weligama Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman

Colombo, Oct. 22 (Daily Mirror) -Parliament flared up after Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa informed that the Weligama Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman, who was shot at today, has succumbed to his injuries.
Chief Government Whip Nalinda Jayatissa who responded said Minister of Public Security Ananda Wijepala will make a statement in the House about the incident shortly.
He said the government is fully committed to preventing crimes.
