PSC appointed to control, eradicate rapidly spreading drug menace

A Parliamentary Select Committee has been appointed by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana to look into and identify the mechanisms to immediately control and eradicate the rapidly spreading drug menace in the country and to submit observations and recommendations to Parliament.

The Committee is headed by Public Security Minister Tiran Alles.

Accordingly, Sisira Jayakody, Dr. Seetha Arambepola, Buddhika Pathirana, Dr. Gayashan Nawananda, Thushara Indunil Amarasena, Dr. Upul Galappaththi, Sudarshana Denipitiya, Asanka Navarathna, Upul Mahendra Rajapaksha, Thavaraja Kalai Arasan, Manjula Dissanayake were appointed as members.(Ajith Siriwardana)
