PM fails to present solution to economic crisis even after a month: Gammanpila
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has failed to put foward any plan to rescue the country from present economic crisis even after one month since his appointment, former minister Udaya Gammanpila said today.
He told a seminar held in Colombo that neither the government nor the opposition had been able to present a solution to the economic crisis so far except for the action plan "Hari Maga" put foward by them in March.
Mr. Gammanpila said however, the action plan they presented before the country was not much talked about after their removal from ministries and said that instead their removal from ministries became the much talked about subject.
He said when they met the Prime Minister soon after his appointment, they explained the importance of presenting an action plan with a time frame so as to create hope among the people. (Ajith Siriwardana)
