If someone farts also could be a reason for you to stop work. Every work has its hazards. There are people dying of disease and by motor accidents. Those are not factors towards reducing your responsibilities and honor your job. Many in the south like to get free salary every month and do nothing. This is why we are bankrupt to the core.

Only brave men and women should wear a uniform to perform their duties. If not the not so brave private sector workers who pay APIT (PAYE) tax to pay for all you uniformed and other government officials should have a right to become fearful to pay taxes for the govt to employ scared bunch staying in office without doing duties. Just think about it.

This so unacceptable. The government should look after the family especially the children until they start working. All the cases he was investigating should be handed over to the CID and prosecuted in the courts soonest. These PHI’s when on a major bust should have STF assistance and also dress up like the STF with their identity cover up. This will definitely assist them in going about to do their jobs safely and keeping the public safe from unscrupulous business dealings affecting food hygiene.

Sri Lanka is debt defaulted country. The Central Bank officials, supposed most trustworthy want 70% pay increase for the head, while lower staff who need more money get less percentage increase. PHI are right to fearful when such assignation is carried out on inspector who is finding terrible behaviour by businessman who for profit would harm the health of members of the public. The loss of PHI inspectors from their duties has longer and shorter term harm that loss of 225 MPs from Parliament. Even the whole head of Bhuddist thera can be replaced, easier than trained PHI are who diligent in their work.

Well said. Well said, indeed, FTPU... Use it or lose it. There are many willing to bring this country to a higher level, United and honestly. Give them the jobs. Ports customs officers against audio enabled cameras. Samurdhi officials needing concessions. Retired presidents need perks. Nobody wants you, there are many others waiting to fill in, without nepotism or influence.
