P.A.G. Fernando appointed chief secretary of Uva Province

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Mrs. P.A.G. Fernando as the new Chief Secretary of the Uva Province with immediate effect.

The appointment letter was officially presented to her this morning (28) by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, at the Presidential Secretariat.

Mrs. Fernando is a Special Grade Officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service. Prior to this appointment, she served as the Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Cultural and Artistic Affairs, Sports and Youth Affairs, and Information Technology in the Western Province.
