Over 50,000 power outages reported nationwide in 24 hours

Colombo, May 30 (Daily Mirror) - A total of 50,009 electricity breakdowns were reported across the country within the 24-hour period ending at 8.00 PM today, according to the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB).

CEB Spokesman stated that power has been restored in 14,031 of those reported cases so far, while repair teams are continuing efforts to resolve the remaining outages.
