Otara alerts public over misuse of her identity
Colombo, August 7 (Daily Mirror) - Sri Lankan entrepreneur and animal welfare advocate Otara Gunewardene has warned the public that her name, photos, and videos have been fake-edited and wrongly used by an online platform called “Edge Code Pro.”
In a statement, Gunewardene clarified that she has no connection or association whatsoever with the said platform or any of its promoters or officers.
“I urge the general public to exercise maximum caution and seek verification from the relevant authorities before engaging with this platform,” she said.
Gunewardene further said that she has instructed her lawyers to take the necessary legal steps in response to this matter.
