Opposition MPs in committee appointed to look into SL’s bankruptcy to resign?

Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa urged all Opposition MPs in the Select Committee appointed to look into how Sri Lanka went into bankruptcy, to resign from the committee and said the Opposition will have its own probe into the matter.

"The Select Committee appointed by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena is of no use as it is chaired by the General Secretary of the party which took the country to bankruptcy. Therefore, I urge all Opposition members of the committee to resign from it. Let us have our own probe with regard to the matter," Mr. Premadasa told a meeting of Opposition parties. (Yohan Perera)

It's not just one party who is responsible for bankruptcy but all the parties and politicians. Also when you were given an opportunity to be the leader after aragalya, you rejected instead of accepting and rescuing our country. Does not what committee you have because we are so deep in bankruptcy no one could do much overnight.

If the Opposition Members resign they will have their own way and rule Last Government not responsible. Participate do all what you can and highlight them. The final determination Opposition can write their own determination like Judges differ in courts

Some more money to waste, committee meeting, traveling, and subsistence for government officials for attending meetings with fuel, waste of stationaries and many resources, and ultimately only big documents and additional space for keeping. An immatured leader without any sort of vision.
