Colombo, August 6 (Daily Mirror)- Opposition MPs began signing the no-faith motion on Deputy Defence Minister Aruna Jayasekera today, MP Mujibur Rahman told the Daily Mirror.

"The motion was signed at the Opposition Leader's office in Parliament. Also the MPs are signing a resolution to request for the appointment of a select committee to look into the compiling of a new Constitution.

If some one can prove that he has a hand in the matter he should remain in the post. So far no one is able to that except for shouting to resign

There is no need proof of direct involvement. He was the commander at the region at the time, albeit just appointed. He is innocent until proven guilty. But at the same time, in the name of Clean Sri Lanka, System Change and transparency, it is best if he TEMPORARILY steps down from his post. This ensures there is no undue influence, and also cannot be used as political dirt by opposition or anyone against the final outcome of the investigation.

DONT WASTE TIME OPPOSITION WILL LOSE THE NO FAITH MOTION, REMEBMBER THE GOVERMENT HAS THE MAJORITY. IF HIS WRONG, THEN HIS CONCIOUS WILL PRICK HIM, AND THERE IS A SAYING RETRIBUTION IS SLOW BUT SURE.
