Online applications open for 1,500 renovation jobs in Israel

Colombo, September 10 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) has announced that online applications are now open for 1,500 vacancies in Israel’s general renovation sector. Applications can be submitted exclusively through the Bureau’s official website, www.slbfe.lk, until September 14, 2025.

This marks the fourth phase of recruitment for Israel’s construction industry under the renovation sub-sector. Available positions include Renovation Workers (specializing in electrical outlet installation, walling, plastering, and partitions), Ceramic Tilers, and Plasterers. Selected candidates will receive a 63-month contract equivalent to five years and three months.

Applicants must be Sri Lankan citizens between the ages of 25 and 45, who have not previously been employed in Israel, possess at least a Grade 10 educational qualification, and hold certified skills with professional experience in their respective trades.

The recruitment process begins with online applications, after which shortlisted candidates will undergo a skills evaluation at district centers of the National Apprenticeship and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA). Those who qualify will then be called for a second assessment at NAITA’s main facility in Katubedda.

The final list of successful candidates will be forwarded to Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority (PIBA), which will conduct a computerized lottery to determine the final selection.
