One-time migration among schemes allowed for CEB, LECO Roof Top Solar customers

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and Lanka Electricity Company (LECO) allow the Roof Top Solar customers to migrate one-time among the Net Plus, Net Metering and Net Accounting Schemes starting next week, the Power and Energy Ministry said.

The decision was announced following a meeting at the Ministry with CEB and LECO officials under the patronage of Minister Kanchana Wijesekera.

The same rate at which the power purchasing agreement was signed will be applied when migrating among the schemes, the minister said.

Roof-top financing schemes will also be introduced by CEB and LECO for new roof-top developments starting in December, the minister added. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
