One killed another injured in shooting at Hikkaduwa

Colombo, March 3 (Daily Mirror) - One person has died in a shooting incident targeting a couple at a shop in the Karuwalakanda area in Hikkaduwa this evening.

Police said the deceased is reported to be the owner of the shop.

Initial investigations have revealed that a person who came on a motorcycle carried out the shooting at around 7pm.

The two were seriously injured and were admitted to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital.

The condition of the injured woman is also reported to be serious.

Hikkaduwa Police are carrying out investigations into the incident.
