November train season tickets valid until December 7

Colombo, Dec. 1 (Daily Mirror) - The Railways Department has announced that the validity period of monthly and quarterly train season tickets for November 2025 has been extended until December 7, 2025.

In a notice, the Department said the extension comes in response to widespread disruptions in train services caused by the ongoing disaster situation across the country, which has also limited passenger travel.

The Department noted that only a small number of passengers have been able to purchase season tickets in advance due to these difficulties.

However, the extension applies only to monthly and quarterly tickets and does not cover weekly season tickets.
