Eastern Province Governor Anuradha Yahampath today expressed her displeasure over the implementation of the 13th Amendment because it could lead to separatism in the country.
Addressing an event today, she said that she was totally against separatism.
"The separatism will cause no peace in the island and leads to war. If separatism is implemented in any small island, it will create issues. Similar practice has created enough of issues everywhere in the world. There has been war wherever there is separatism, particularly in island nations. "There is no peace in those countries, but raging war," she said.

But look at the context Sri Lanka was not a willing partner to the agreement it was forced upon Sri Lanka by the Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Furthermore the Tamils of Jaffna was not consulted about this agreement, even though it was supposed to be about the Jaffna Tamils. Now only people who support this agreement in Sri Lanka are a few Tamil politicians from the TNA but these Tamil politicians are considered as “ Indian Bootlickers “ by the Tamils of Jaffna themselves. Tamils of Jaffna of course want an autonomy within a united Sri Lanka but they will never accept any Indian imposed solution. The hate and anger the Jaffna Tamils have for India is extremely high.

I never did anything including my family in 1983 against the Sinhalese people when our house in Nugegoda was burnt by the government of Sri Lanka using thugs to burn Tamil property and killl them. Based on this and continued human rights abuses how can minorities live with the Sinhalese people. My father who was Secretary to the Ministry of Transport did not take and extension but was forced to retire and against his will migrate to Australia. Are these fair and just based on rascal polices and made mythologies based on history.
