Former Matara District UPFA Prliamentarian Niroshan Premaratne has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Independent Television Network (ITN) with effect from today.

Mr. Premaratne, who worked as TV presenter at the ITN, had contested and won the 2015 parliamentary election from the Matara District. Again, he contested in 2020 election but was not re-elected.
