Colombo, August 29 (Daily Mirror)- Former Parliamentarian Nimal Lanza was remanded until September 12 after being produced before the Negombo Magistrate’s Court today.

Lanza was arrested after surrendering to the Kochchikade Police earlier in the day over alleged assault and unlawful entry during a protest in 2006.

a 19 year old case shows what corrupt judicial procedure prevailed in the last regime to allow this case never to be taken up till now including many others perhaps to be exposed shortly and the legal fraternity in defence must be bowing their heads in shame appearing for him FREE OF CHARGE!!!
