The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand, Winston Peters, will undertake an official visit to Sri Lanka from May 24 to 28.
During his stay, Deputy Prime Minister Peters is scheduled to pay courtesy calls on President Anura Kumara Dissanayaka and Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya. He will also engage in high-level bilateral discussions with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath.
The talks are expected to focus on enhancing cooperation across a range of sectors including trade and investment, agriculture, education, connectivity, tourism and sports.
In addition to official engagements, Deputy Prime Minister Peters will participate in several meetings with representatives from the private sector and the media.
He will be accompanied by a delegation of three senior officials from New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
