Netherlands choose to bat first against Sri Lanka

Netherlands captain Scott Edwards won the toss and chose to bat first against Sri Lanka in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

Sri Lanka made two changes to their team, with Dushan Hemantha replacing Dunith Wellalage and Kasun Rajitha coming in for Lahiru Kumara.

Netherland field an unchanged team, the same team that beat South Africa earlier this week.

It should be matter of national pride to defeat the Dutch. They came and invaded our coastal land, put in false religion and pillaged our wealth. Beat them for the sake of our ancestors who suffered under their foot.

Poor team selection as usual. No batting depth and only 5 batters. Then ballers. Hope at least we win this match

Danushka G, and many other better batsman are left back in Sri Lanka. Too old players, and no good players in the squad. Even if we beat 3rd rate Dutch as expected, it is like thrashing Maldives in cricket.
