Netanyahu faces domestic and international pressure

April 10, Al Jazeera - Polls released in the Israeli media are pointing out what a difficult position Benjamin Netanyahu is in.

According to those polls, 58 percent of people are dubious about this ceasefire and the gains that Israel has made during the war with Iran.

But 79 percent support continuing combat operations against Hezbollah, and closing down its operations in Lebanon.

Benjamin Netanyahu is also under increasing pressure internationally, particularly from the United States. But in the last 24 hours, we’ve also heard from Germany, Canada and other areas of the international world, pushing him to adhere to this ceasefire.

This is going to put Netanyahu in a very difficult position with elections coming up, if the majority of the Israeli electorate doesn’t want to see him adhering to that ceasefire.
