Colombo, January 31 (Daily Mirror) - Chinthaka Darshana Hewapathirana has stepped down from his position as the Chairman of the National Youth Services Council (NYSC).

Hewapathirana, an Attorney-at-Law, was appointed as the 32nd Chairman and Director General of the NYSC on October 4, 2024.

No , they have enough comrades to fill the positions. Even if 100 people resigned , the replacement will come. Some of these people appointed are not able to cope up with work pressure at top.

RECENTLY IT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT RANIL UNP AND SJB WERE HAVING DISCUSSIONS, AT THE INVITATION OF RANIL TO JOIN TOGETHER FOR THE UPCOMING ELECTIONS AND BEYOND. NOW IT APPEARS THE RECENT MEETING PROBABLY BEHIND CLOSED DOOR AND THEN WITH THE FORMER MP'S HAVE STARTED BRINGING ABOUT RESIGNATIONS, STRANGE!!!. LET'S SEE WHERE IT TAKES US THE PEOPLE.

Those who resigned were appointed by Mr Vijitha Herath during the 3 person cabinet. So better stop blaming the former MPs for everything. It makes the new NPP govt look a very incapable lot looking for excuses. Our govt service is not easy regulations political pressure and dirty colleagues a lethal combination.

All these Chairmen and Secretaries who are resigning after few weeks are appointed by the President. Maybe they are under undue pressure by the NPP Politicians.
