Namal Rajapaksa meets Korean Deputy Speaker during personal visit

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, who is currently on a personal visit to South Korea, met with Joo Ho-young, Deputy Speaker of the Korean National Assembly, for a cordial discussion on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

Rajapaksa’s visit comes at the invitation of Ven. Yeong-Dam Lim, a respected Buddhist monk and long-time friend of Sri Lanka.

During his visit, the MP also called on the Seokwangsa Temple in Bucheon, where he received blessings from Ven. Yeong-Dam Lim, who has maintained longstanding religious and cultural ties with Sri Lanka.

he is just trying to show off having contacts with foreign govt. officials not that they have invited him. He is forcing himself on them and with any private individuals meeting such people the common talk is by--lateral agreements already certified govt to govt. and any of his comments do not carry weight with any govt even if he meets President Trump unofficially

He doesn't look like a statesman to represent Sri Lanka. Does he need to go to strengthen Sri Lanka relationship. Wasn't the relationship strong enough before? Can anyone have a bilateral discussion with another foreign government on personal basis with out prior approval of the foreign ministry?
