NPP names Vraie Cally Balthazar as Colombo Mayoral candidate
Colombo, March 9 (Daily Mirror) - National People’s Power (NPP) Executive Committee member Vraie Cally Balthazar has been named as the Mayoral Candidate for the Colombo Municipal Council in the upcoming Local Government elections.
JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva revealed this while speaking at a public meeting.
Silva also revealed that the NPP plans to field women candidates for 25% of the nomination lists across all local government bodies.

Biggest pile of crap i heard. The majority of burghers were uneducated and low skilled. They mostly served as can drivers, station masters and receptionists in Australia. It's the tamils and sinhalese who became world class doctors, engineers and businessmen. You probably yearn for fair skin. I am not saying it is good that any community migrates, but burghers have big hearts as opposed to economic vakue add.

The Burghers of Sri Lanka the descendents of the Dutch along with the British who helped to build this country from scratch had not emigrated to Australia since the early sixties Sri Lanka would have been a very prosperous country by now. Sri Lanka's loss no doubt is Australia's gain. I am sure Cally Balthazar and Jacquelne Fernandez the Bollywood movie star the very few Burghers left behind will help to keep the Sri Lanka flag flying for years to come.
