Colombo, June 30 (Daily Mirror) - The owner of a popular kottu restaurant chain in Sri Lanka, who was arrested over the alleged assault of an employee, was today (30) released on bail by the Nugegoda Magistrate's Court.
The court ordered that he be released on two personal bails of Rs. 500,000 each.
The arrest followed the circulation of CCTV footage on social media that allegedly showed the restaurant owner physically assaulting an employee at one of his outlets.
Police said the suspect was handed over to Maharagama Police this morning before being produced before the Nugegoda Magistrate's Court.
