Motocross driver Kaushalya dies in road accident

A leading motocross driver Kaushalya Samarasinghe was killed in a road accident in Bulathsinhala, Horana yesterday.

Police said the victim's motorcycle collided head-on with a bus at Govinna on the Mathugama-Horana main road on Saturday morning.

It was revealed that Kaushalya was riding on a high-speed motorcycle (250CC) along with a group of his friends who were on three other motorcycles.

35-year-old Kaushalya, a resident of Maharagama, died on admission to the Horana Hospital.

The driver of the bus was arrested over the accident and the Bulathsinhala Police are conducting further investigations.(Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)

These days motorists lose their lives by reckless driving or riding mobikes, ignoring speeding limit signs. Even 3W drivers don't follow these signs. This also result in losing innocent lives of the passengers who trust the drivers to take them safe to their destination. Police have to be very vigilant and tough with the oiffendrs and cancel their licenses

Obey the traffic rules. Sri lanka's roads are for just drive vehicles, with utmost vigilance. This guy has paid the price without harming another innocent motorist on the road. So others can learn a lesson of stupid Riding and Driving.

Sri Lanka roads are not meant for speeding vehicles specially motorcyclists and even pedestians. who have to be very alert because the lack of discipline by motorists in Sri Lanka who don't follow the road rules.
