More than 25 MPs sign NCM against Keheliya

Around 25 MPs including some of those who have voted in favour of the government on various instances have signed the no-confidence motion on Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella today.

MPs Kumara Welgama, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa were among the pro-government MPs who signed the motion.

TNA MP Selvarasa Kajendran also signed the motion on behalf of his party while the National People’s Power led by the JVP is also expected to back the motion.

Others who have signed the motion are Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa, Rajitha Senaratne, Chandima Weerakkody, Ranjith Madduma Bandara, Lakshman Kiriella and Hesha Vithnage.

SLFP General Secretary Dayasiri Jaysekera said his party is yet to decide on its stand on the motion.

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara said the opposition group led by Dullas Alahapperuma is also expected to back the motion. (Yohan Perera and Ajith Siriwardana)

What nonsense is this. All 224 MPs must sign the NCM against Keheliya. Patients groups must sue Keheliya for inaction fand the non availability of essential medicines. What is the Prez doing? Hold, Keheliya accountable and remove him forthwith. Appoint a MP who knows about medicine like Dr. Mrs. Sudarshani Fernandopulle, Dr. Ramesh Pathirana who are familiar with medicines or is Ranil playing into the hands of Rajitha Senaratne??????? There appears cartels making money at the expense of Patients.

Sl needs a properly elected leaders and a group of educated (not people chased out by schools and joined another - then to law college without yr 10) to run this country! May be unsigned are very similar in some sense!
