Moderate air quality recorded in most cities, slightly unhealthy in some



Colombo, Feb 19 (Daily Mirror) - While slightly unhealthy air quality levels were recorded in Ratnapura, Embilipitiya and Moneragala, most other cities experienced moderate air quality yesterday, the Vehicular Emission Test Trust Fund of the Department of Motor Traffic said.

It is forecast that the AQI level will range between 56 and 96 throughout the day, indicating a moderate level across all cities in the country.

The maximum AQI levels are expected between 7:30 – 8:30 AM and 1:00 – 2:00 PM.

Comparatively, the AQI in Sri Lanka is expected to remain at a moderate level in most cities over the next 24 hours.
